2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process.

During National Reconciliation Week, Australians from all backgrounds have been inspired to come together in a virtual Acknowledgement of Country, for the theme, “More Than A Word”, as we contribute to building stronger relationships based on historical acceptance.

At Valmec, we firmly believe in promoting cultural recognition, mutual respect, acknowledging the past, and moving forward together for mutual success.

Team members from Valmec’s Kewdale and Darra offices were honoured to take part in this virtual acknowledgement, celebrating indigenous history and culture, and fostering reconciliation discussion and activities via social media.

Valmec Kewdale – “We acknowledge the Wadjuk people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we stand, and pay our respects to elders past and present.”

Valmec Darra – “We acknowledge the Turrbal people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we stand, and pay our respects to Elders past and present”.
